He received my medical degree in 1988 from the University of Bucharest “Romania” School of Medicine.I performed my postgraduate studies and qualified as a specialist Pediatric in 1992 from Makassed General Hospital affiliated with American University of Beirut (AUB)-Lebanon .

He joined Tawam Hospital in 1995 as Specialist in the Department of Pediatrics, and since that time he is working in the Division of Hematology/Oncology.  He is also Assistant Professor at the faculty of medicine and health sciences, Tawam Hospital, Al Ain and been leading the thalassemia awareness and sickle cell programs at Tawam Hospital since 2005.

He is a member of the American Society of Hematology (ASH), the European Hematology association (EHA) and Gulf Countries Committee for Practical Guidelines for Hemophilia Patients. He was also a member of the Secretariat General Committee for Sultan Bin Khalifa International Thalassemia Award (2010).

Dr Trad authored or coauthored over 30 articles in the field of Hematology/Oncology. He received recognition from The Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award For Medical Sciences for original research paper published in Emirates Medical Journal “Neuroblastoma – Tawam Hospital Experience” in 2004. He has also drafted and established guidelines for “febrile neutropenia”, “approach to childhood anemia, thalassemia” among others.
