ABOUT PATH 2015

We are pleased to announce the First Pan Arab Thalassaemia & Haemoglobinopathies Conference (PATH-2015); organized by the Emirates Society of Haematology; under the auspices of HH Sheikh Sultan Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan Humanitarian & Scientific Foundation (SBKF) and the Sultan Bin Khalifa International Thalassemia Award (SITA).

The scientific agenda will include in-depth scientific program covering a range of sub-specialty areas in Thalassaemia & Haemoglobinopathies. Furthermore, this important event will be preceded by the second term of SITA Award Ceremony, to honor individuals and group efforts who have made substantial contributions in the field of Thalassaemia & Haemoglobinopathies”.

 

ABOUT ESH

The Emirates Society of Haematology (ESH) was formed in 2005 and formally recognised by the Emirates Medical Association in 2009. The society works towards improvements in the specialty of haematology. It also aims to foster and nurture links among specialists within UAE, the GCC region and internationally.  Regular meetings are conducted with the aim of improving quality of care among patients afflicted with medical conditions prevalent in the country. The society determines the needs for training among its members through its continuing medical education programs. It is also working on developing and introducing a structured post-graduate education in haematology.  In the short time since its inception, the society is proud to have organised a large number of educational activities and initiated the Haemophiliac Support Group.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

The PATH 2015 Scientific Committee invites the potential authors worldwide to submit their abstracts to be presented as oral or poster presentations. Abstracts will be reviewed, and accepted submissions will be published in the Conference proceedings. Submissions are accepted online.

SITA NOMINATIONS

His Highness Sultan Bin Khalifa al Nahyan International Thalassemia Award was launched to recognise individuals and organisations who have tirelessly and selflessly dedicated their efforts to improve the quality of life of patients with thalassemia. The second term of the SITA Award will be held in conjunction with the Pan Arab Thalassaemia and Haemoglobinopathies Conference 2015. To submit nominations for the awards, please the icon below.
